Jesus is condemned to death

Jesus continues to be condemned to death today in his innocent, marginalised, voiceless and rejected people. Religious discrimination in Pakistan is a serious human rights issue that affects Hindus, Christians, Sikhs, Shias, Ahmadis and other religions. They all face discrimination and are at times subjected to violence right across Pakistan. Some people are falsely accused of blasphemy and other crimes, simply because they belong to a minority religion. Sometimes, such accusations lead to their death. At present, most of our Christian brothers and sisters live in poverty and destitution, with their daily needs and basic necessities not being met. One of the reasons for this poverty is because the well-educated among them are denied access to better jobs; therefore, the vicious circle of poverty remains unbroken. As Religious of Jesus and Mary we share the pain and suffering of our people in Christ.
