Veronica wipes the face of Jesus

Veronica, the ordinary woman who bravely stepped out of the crowd to wipe the face of a suffering man.

Who will be Veronica today? Who will bravely step forward out of the crowd? Who will notice suffering and who will do something about it?

In our society and especially lately with Covid-19, many people have lost their jobs and still more struggle to make ends meet. Thornton has linked up with our local Foodbank. We encourage the girls to support their work through bringing in groceries and toiletries.

Whether it is making shoeboxes at Christmas for children who live in poverty at the other side of the world or inviting local elderly and lonely people for tea, whether it is making care packages for homeless people who seek refuge in the local night shelter or offering service through helping others, where there is a need, we are called to be there. We are called to be Veronica in the face of the suffering of today. Our little, no matter how little, can make a difference.
